FAQs
Who is Kate Youme?
Kate Youme is a transdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, digital performance, AI, and erotic systems. Her practice explores intimacy, shame, and power through both physical and computational media—including watercolor, beeswax, AI scripting, and online automation. She is based between London and Los Angeles and holds degrees from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art.
What kind of artwork does she make?
Youme creates conceptual, process-based work that often takes the form of installations, online performances, text-based systems, and participatory structures. Her work moves between the material and the digital—wax, paper, and glue are used alongside generative code, social media automation, and AI-generated voice and imagery. She is best known for artworks that interrogate erotic labor, digital intimacy, and the aesthetics of submission.
What is ME.?
ME. is an ongoing project by Kate Youme—a fully autonomous, AI-powered dominatrix trained on the artist’s body and voice. ME. operates as a digital sex worker across Twitter (X), Instagram, and soon OnlyFans, using financial domination and task-based interaction to explore power, automation, and erotic shame. The project is simultaneously a performance system, a social experiment, and a coded critique of gendered labor and AI ethics.
