Youme Newsletter, 2026 - ongoing
A recurring artwork issued without schedule. Delivering objects of cyclical attention.
Audio, text, algorithmic image - email
The Youme Newsletter arrives at intervals. It does not follow a schedule. Each issue contains three offerings.
The first is an audio piece. A found object. Discarded writing, retrieved from disposal, is read aloud by two AI-generated voices. One replicates the artist's voice. One recalibrates its male version. They alternate. The text was not written for them. The reading is a form of retrieval. Speech and text are treated as readymade.
The second is information and optimization. Updates on exhibitions, publications and engagements are tortured into the minimum number of words required. Efficiency is a form of discipline and care.
The third is a visual. Generated through algorithms that model hypnosis, attention loops and social media optimization. The image is designed to hold the eye. It does not resolve. It sustains looking.
The newsletter uses the conventions of communication: subject line, format, send time. These conventions are followed and emptied. The content does not sell. It delivers three things then stops.
Youme Newsletter is a recurring artwork. It appears when there is something to distribute. It distributes art.
